Part of caring for this community means keeping you informed—and caring for you is what we do.
We know you have questions about COVID-19 vaccines and the vaccination process. We’d like to do our best to answer some of them.
- Distribution of the vaccine is a complicated process highly regulated by the New York State Department of Health (DOH).
- The DOH determines who will have access to the vaccine, when they will have access to it, and where they can go to receive it.
- Saratoga Hospital has not received any information about vaccination access and timing for the broader community.
- As of today, our understanding is that Saratoga Hospital and our offsite locations will not be designated vaccination sites. We anticipate future efforts will be managed by each county, as directed by the New York State Department of Health.
For more information on COVID-19 vaccination efforts in New York State, please visit this NYS DOH vaccine information page. We will continue to update our website as more information becomes available to us.
We understand you are concerned. This has not been an easy journey, but it has been truly amazing to see how this community pulled together in this difficult time. It is that spirit that will see us to the other side once and for all. When the vaccine becomes available to you, we do encourage you to get vaccinated.
As always, you can find the most up to date information on COVID-19, the vaccine, and Saratoga Hospital at our website.
